Hi, I'm Jakob
Not unlike my projects I’ve been building my company, brick by brick, nail after nail, stone upon stone. Yes, I’ve got a long way to go to achieve the masterpiece I hope to create. One thing I CAN do though is BUILD. In fact, I am really just here to build amazing things!
A Passion to Create
From the age of 12, I could read a tape proficiently. 6th grade shop class saw me using a power saw for the first time. Throughout high school, I chased woodworking, spending hours perfecting my craft. By senior year, I was inlaying 50 stars into a tabletop, and tearing down tree houses the power company did not like.
After a brief stint building bridges learning to work with concrete and steel, I ventured to the Philippines, where I spent seven years gaining a global perspective that shaped my creativity and resilience.
Finding My Calling
I arrived back in the U.S. in 2020 starting my construction career over with solar panel installation, before quickly moving to commercial concrete. But it was a side project—a 20×45 paver patio—that ignited my love for hardscaping and masonry. The transformation of that space inspired me to seek a masonry apprenticeship, leading me from Pennsylvania to Oregon. I had landed a well-paying entry-level position in commercial masonry.

“Sounds Like a Challenge” – Masonry Career
He did not scare me off with the promise of hard work. But it was 3 months of packing 12-inch block through mud and muck, before I started to touch the masonry I really wanted to learn. I learned a ton, and quickly became an asset. But after a year of working with the most efficient crew I’ve worked for, I decided to seek more creative projects on the residential side of things.
There, I started leading projects within weeks. I designed stunning fireplaces, and laid everything from foundations to gatehouses. Frustrated by employers who cut corners and expected self-taught work, I knew I could do better, and if I couldn’t do it myself, I can bring on someone that can.
My first concrete carving job as a company, saw me bring in one of the best rock carvers on the west coast to help ensure a quality product.

Holding Myself to Standard
There’s not a job I’ve taken on that I haven’t wanted to be the best at. I am not so naive to think that I have ever achieved that, but not for the lack of effort.
This drive saw me skyrocket to lead positions in both commercial concrete and masonry. It saw me shut down my first start up to seek out more training. It saw me leave an employer who had me cutting corners to strike out on my own.
I had hoped to start my career learning from the best, and have been blessed to work with some pretty incredible crews, but the lessons I learned working for the worst may have been even more impactful.
I started this company to build something I’m proud of—products that last generations. I learned from the best crews and the worst employers, who taught me to never cut corners, always plan ahead, and avoid mistakes like installing a concrete-finished slide. Quality isn’t just a priority; it’s the only thing.
I am a little foul mouthed, rough and tumbled, not so good at sales, and definitely not the best at anything. I will even tell you if I don’t like your idea.
